We received the Salinas piece last Thursday. It's a lovely piece, your online image was very accurate, and we're very happy with it. We took it to a framer today. We have selected a thin, dark walnut frame with a simple off-white mat that shows off the rough border of the paper on which the work is painted. Biography One of Spain's best-recognized artistic personalities, JORDI MOLLA is an actor, director, painter and a writer. PicassoMio.com is pleased to introduce Jordi's less-known facet of painting to the art-loving public, for the very first time. Jordi was trained as an actor at the Barcelona Institute of Theatre and he also studied in Italy, Hungary and England. As an actor, he has worked in more than fifteen films, with prestigious directors like Bigas Luna, Montxo Armendáriz, Pedro Almodovar, Ricardo Franco and Fernando Colomo. Jordi first received in acclaim in Bigas Luna's "Jamón, Jamón", in 1992. Since then Jordi has appeared in "Historias del Kronen" (1994) Director: Montxo Armendáriz; "La flor de mi secreto" (1994), Director: Pedro Almodóvar; "La Celestina" (1996), Director: Gerardo Vera; "La buena estrella" (1997), Director: Ricardo Franco (Nominated for the GOYA Awards); "Los años bárbaros" (1998), Director: Fernando Colomo; "Volavérunt" (1999), Director: Bigas Luna; "Nadie conoce a nadie" (1999), Director: Mateo Gil; "Segunda piel" (1999), Director: Gerardo Vera and "Son de Mar", (1999), Director: Bigas Luna. Critically acclaimed "Blow" with Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz, was Jordi´s debut film in Hollywood. Artist Profile ArtWork by Evelina R. Craven   Biography Brazil-born England-based painter, muralist and teacher, Evelina initially received her doctorate in biochemistry before completing her B.A. (honors) in Fine Art. Her paintings are often influenced by her South American upbringing reflected by tropical connotations in bright dominant colours an in a semi-abstract expressionist manner.    In addition to her paintings, she works on large-scale commissioned murals. Amongst her recent exhibitions, in the UK, are: 2001: Margaret Harvel Gallery, St Albans, Hertfordshire 2001: Boxfield Gallery, Stevenage, Herts. 2001: Hertford Art Society, 49th Annual Exhibition 2000: Letchworth Museum and Art Gallery ARTIST STATEMENT: My work is colour and energy. I try to interpret my feelings and emotions in order to reflect the unity of body and soul. Most of my work ends up vibrant and full of joy. I do not paint reality; I imagine impossible things or invent compositions that come from dimensions that I myself do not know. I like to call this way of painting: painting for the whole, as it unifies the spirit giving fulfilment and personal achievement.
